About Me
From age 9, I was obsessed with drum kits, the Beatles, the Beach Boys, Doctor Who, Prince and making my own songs on 4 track tape recorders with my Brother.
Since then, I have made music my life whether this is as a drum educator, a session musician or a youth music project coordinator and workshop lead.
Session work
My work as a session drummer has provided me with incredible opportunities. From sold-out arena shows, to touring the US, Europe and Asia, to performing on BBC Radio 1 and the Jimmy Kimmel show to millions of viewers. My drumming has appeared on recordings with Dan Croll with Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Dialect, Aldhous RH and Mikhael Paskalev.
I continue to perform as drummer for various projects; from my work with the band Real Terms to working with experimental electronic musician Dialect. I am working on my own solo music as well, a work in progress for many years.
Teaching
My teaching approach is participant-led, with inclusivity and accessibility at its core. My experience includes one to one and group music sessions in SEND schools, leading music workshops, music facilitation with patients at Alder Hey Children's hospital and drumming masterclasses within universities.
More recently I have been focused on my teaching practice with young neurodivergent and disabled musicians in Liverpool. This has included coordinating live and youth music projects through my work with organisations like DaDaFest, Awards For Young Musicians, Resonate Music Hub and Music For Life.
